YEREVAN. – The President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian along with acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, National Assembly Chairman Ara Babloyan, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II attended a reception organized for representatives of the state administration on the occasion of the New Year and Christmas holidays.

In his address President Sarkissian said 2018 was a special year for our country and people.

Armen Sargsyan thanked all those who served homeland and national interests honestly and professionally.

“I would like to thank the outgoing National Assembly, Mr. Babloyan and all members of the government. And, of course, I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mr. Prime Minister, you and your colleagues on the victory in the parliamentary elections. 2019 will begin not only with a new parliament and a new government, but, I am sure, with new approaches. One of the important events is that the Armenian delegation for the first time in many years will take part in the World Economic Forum in Davos. I would like to wish that 2019 became the year of Armenia yet again,” he said.
