Two people died and three others were injured in the early morning hours on Sunday, after a vehicle went off road, went onto the sidewalk, and plowed into some pedestrians in Saint Petersburg, Russia.
REN TV has released a footage of this incident, Lenta.ru reported.
The injured were hospitalized.
The Russian News Agency TASS source at the law enforcement agencies reported that the persons who died were a 39-year-old Muscovite woman, and a US citizen who was born in 1978.
The driver of this vehicle did not flee the scene, he was detained, and a criminal case was filed against him.
To note, the 30-year-old man’s driver’s license had been revoked in November 2018.
