Of course, it is necessary to properly respect the memory of the soldiers who fell during the Four-Day Artsakh War on 2 April, but I’m not sure that declaring that day as an official day for remembering the victims would be a right decision. This is what Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan declared in response to the proposal of Deputy of the My Step Alliance Sofia Hovsepyan at the National Assembly.

According to the Prime Minister, there is a need for precaution. He also stated that Armenia is located in a region and is engaged in a conflict in which case escalations are periodic. “Yes, tension has been high and serious since 2 April 2016, but the situation has also been tense before that, and as a result, we have suffered casualties. Unfortunately, we are suffering casualties now as well,” Pashinyan clarified.
