The National Assembly of Armenia has convened a special session. This comes after discussions on all the items of the agenda for the regular sessions.

Pursuant to Article 100 of the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia and Article 41 of the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Armenia “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly”, at the initiative of the Government, the National Assembly has convened a special session with the agenda prescribed by the initiator.

There is only one item on the agenda (making amendments to the Constitutional Law “Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly”), which will be discussed immediately and by first and second readings.

The issue is related to the procedure for nominating a candidate for judge of the Constitutional Court.
