A Dutch company offered to use ashes from Notre Dame to recreate a gargoyle and other details of the cathedral with 3D printer, MIGnews reported.
The Dutch company reproduced Le Stryge, a gargoyle that was severely damaged in a fire, De Zeen reported.
In 2000 American Andrew Tallon made 3D scanning of Notre Dame, and the original design was preserved.
The company offered to use the materials that were preserved, in particular the ashes, to recreate some details.
