Armenian citizens who were stranded in Hurghada and arrived in Yerevan today, were mainly discontent with the conditions of the hotel in which they were accommodated following cancelation of flight OTF 3703 from Hurghada to Yerevan.

One of the citizens told journalists that his wife and children were among the citizens stranded in Hurghada and remained in the hotel where they had spent their entire vacation. According to the man, the hotel that was offered to citizens following cancelation of the flight was in poor condition and the family had to come back.

Another citizen was content with the fact that the latter and the other passengers were provided with hotel suites and food and that the Embassy of Armenia in Egypt had answered all the citizens’ phone calls.

Earlier, the Embassy of Armenia in Egypt had reported that there are currently 100 citizens of Armenia stuck in Hurghada due to cancelation of the Hurghada-Yerevan OTF 3703 flight for July 25.

Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan reported that the passengers stranded in Hurghada due to cancelation of the July 25 Hurghada-Yerevan OTF 3703 flight would arrive in Armenia via the Hurghada-Yerevan SJ 5600 flight at 8:30 p.m. Yerevan time.

According to preliminary information, the reason for cancelation of the flight was the Armenian tour operator’s failure to pay the aircraft carrier.
