Yerevan resident of illegally obtained a large amount of opium (3010 grams) from an unidentified person for sale from Iran, Armenian National Security Service reported.
He was caught by the NSS at the Meghri customs point.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Investigation Department of Armenian National Security Service under the relevant articles of the Armenian Criminal Code. Charges were filed and detention was used as a precautionary measure.
An investigation is underway.
