YEREVAN. – The “Social Movement” has no political agenda, it will deal exclusively with social issues. Vahram Mkrtchyan, an initiative member of this new movement in Armenia, said this today.

The founding event of the “Social Movement” was held today.

"Many elemental social processes are taking place in Armenia today," Mkrtchyan said. “To voice their issues, various social and stakeholder groups are organizing certain processes with their small opportunities. We have organized this so that these processes become more inclusive, be directed, and we liken this to the movement that within a movement if it is chaotic, it is elemental, no useful energy can be obtained there. But if we direct that movement, we can get a lot of useful energy."

According to Mkrtchyan, the state cannot solve all the above-mentioned issues at once, and it has to classify them according to urgency, which is a long-term process.

He noted that they will hold the second round of their conference on February 23.
