YEREVAN. – Armenian Police Chambarak Division Chief of Narek Simonyan has been temporarily suspended over the scandalous video that has gone viral on the Internet.
The police press service reported, in particular, that during the investigation by the Police Department of Homeland Security along the lines of the aforesaid video, a police officer was summoned to the department.
In parallel, work is underway to identify the other people in the video.
Within the framework of this investigation, and by the order of the Acting Chief of Police, Police Chambarak Division Chief of Narek Simonyan has been temporarily suspended.
As reported earlier, a video was posted on the Internet which shows Armenia Police using violence to obtain evidence from a person.
And the Human Rights Defender (Ombudsman) of Armenia, Arman Tatoyan, posted this video on his Facebook page and made a respective comment.
