YEREVAN. – The “mothers in black” - the mothers of deceased soldiers of Armenia - have not yet received a response from the government and are going to fight again. Margarita Khachatryan, President of the “Soldier's Mother” NGO, said this in a conversation with journalists today.

"On Thursday, we will meet the people in front of the government; our struggle will continue," she said. "We stand with the army, but we will not allow the rights of the ‘mothers in black’ to be ignored."

Referring to the journalist's observation that their demonstrations were criticized on social media, Khachatryan said she was not afraid of criticism. "I have nothing more to give the army. I gave the most precious, and today I am not afraid of anything."

The head of the “Soldier's Mother” NGO noted that they had provided the names of 6,600 dead servicemen, but did not mention any compensation priorities.

The “mothers in black,” led by Margarita Khachatryan, recently held demonstrations outside the government building for several days, demanding compensation for the families of deceased servicemen. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan listened to their problem and event received them in the Government, but no solution to this matter has been given to this day.
