YEREVAN. – The National Assembly of Armenia is discussing today with a special procedure the package of draft laws on the introduction of an early retirement system for the judges of the Constitutional Court.

This package of draft laws submitted by the government stipulates that if the serving judges of the Constitutional Court resign within two months of the adoption of the law, they will receive a pension equivalent to their current salary until the expiry of their term of office.

Draft law on introduction of early retirement system for judges of the Constitutional Court was adopted yesterday in the first reading.
