·       The delegation headed by Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan left for St. Petersburg, Russia Friday to participate in the session of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council, and the informal summit of the CIS countries.

Participants of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council have consensus on all issues of the agenda, Armenian PM said at the Council’s meeting on Friday. “We close the year in good spirits,” he said. Pashinyan congratulated President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on assuming the EEU presidency. Lukashenko, in turn, thanked Pashinyan and the Armenian side for the effective chairmanship of the organization.

·       The Armenian Criminal Appeal Court, chaired by Judge Lusine Abgaryan, rejected the complaint of the country's second president Robert Kocharyan.

The lawyers appealed the decision of Judge Anna Danibekyan.

Earlier, judges rejected the petition to change the preventive measure from arrest to release on bail. Lawyers appealed the text of the decision, indicating the lack of grounds and non-compliance with the ECHR principles.

·       Armenian Investigation Committee continues the investigation of the criminal case over illegal adoption of Armenian children by foreigners.

Criminal charges have been filed against the Republican Maternity Hospital director; Director of Yerevan Children's Home SNCO, and a female Yerevan resident born in 1976, according to the Investigative Committee.

The investigator has filed a petition with the court to remand the aforesaid three persons in custody.

·       The floor of one of the first-story rooms of the two-story military commissariat building had collapsed in Yerevan.

Identity of the 14 people injured in the collapse on December 19 has been ascertained.

Prior to rescuers' arrival, one injured was hospitalized.

Rescuers removed three people who were trapped at the room adjacent to the collapsed section of the building.

·       Dead body has been found at supermarket in Yerevan, shamshyan.com reported.

Police found out that the deceased was Levon B., 58, who stole the purse belonging to Dalar A., 26, from her cart. Security officers noticed this and escorted the suspect to the manager’s office, and the man suddenly died in the office.

The forensic doctor inspected the body on the spot and reported that no traces were detected on the body through an external inspection.
