YEREVAN. – There has been some serious progress in terms of acquiring weapons, some types of weapons have been purchased about which I will not say anything perhaps until the official announcement. Armenian military expert Vova Vardanov said this at a press conference today.

“It has already been said about buying airplanes; we [Armenia] bought Su-30SMs that have not arrived yet, but they will arrive soon; they are very good planes,” he said. “I will not open the brackets, but let me say that some pretty good type batch of weapons was bought. Upon armament in Armenia, it will turn out that we will have a fairly modern type of weapon at very affordable prices, with a normal amount to provide a portion of its functions."

He noted that weapons of Armenian production are also being acquired.

And referring to the adversary’s recent shootings in the direction of Koti village, he said that Azerbaijan once again wants to solve its internal problems and put pressure on Armenia.
