President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian today had a meeting with Speaker of the National Assembly Ararat Mirzoyan.

Sarkissian and Mirzoyan discussed issues on the establishment of closer cooperation between the presidential and parliamentary institutions and touched upon the activities of the parliament over the past year and the role of parliamentary diplomacy.

President Sarkissian provided information about several presidential initiatives and the big international events to be held in Armenia next year and attached importance to the active involvement of the parliament in all of these initiatives.
