YEREVAN. - Officers of the State Revenue Committee (SRC) and the Meghri customs checkpoint of Armenia recently inspected the luggage of an Iranian citizen at this checkpoint. As a result, they discovered about 900 grams of crystalline mass of Ketamine hidden in coffee packs.

Subsequently, information was obtained that this Iranian citizen had carried out his contraband attempt with a compatriot.

The next day, another Iranian citizen, who planning to depart from Yerevan to Doha and then to Kuala Lumpur, was found at the passenger departure lounge of Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan. After the customs inspection of this Iranian citizen's luggage, 1.335kg of Ketamine was found inside 49 coffee packs which he was going to transport to a third country.

Criminal cases have been initiated at the SRC.

These Iranian citizens have been detained.
