The residents of the Tsovak rural community in Gegharkunik Province of Armenia have blocked the road. They demand that the road to the village be repaired.
“[Gegharkunik governor] Gnel Sanosyan, the villagers are waiting for you,” one demonstrator said. "Come, give an explanation on the situation on these roads; come, travel here, see is it possible, Mr. Governor."
The protester added that the Tsovak residents are demanding that majority My Step faction MPs Hayk Sargsyan, Taguhi Tovmasyan, and Varazdat Karapetyan also come to the scene.
And MP Tovmasyan, for her part, went on Facebook and urged the Tsovak villagers to open the road, and wrote that the matter of repairing the road to this community will be resolved in 2020.
The villagers say that if the matter is not addressed, they will keep this road closed for one week.
