YEREVAN. – There is a 56-year-old man under the debris of the building in Yerevan that collapsed as a result of an explosion; in total, there are three injured. The minister of emergency situations of Armenia, Feliks Tsolakyan, said this in a conversation with journalists Wednesday morning (PHOTOS).

He noted that the other 21 people who were evacuated were not injured, but psychological support was provided to them.

According to the minister, the building is completely evacuated.

Asked whether the other part of this building might collapse, too, the minister said: "They came from the seismic service and said that there is no risk of collapse at this moment. This is a panel building; they are earthquake-resistant buildings. (…). The main work is left to be able to clean the debris. Let's see what will come out from under the rubble."

Tsolakyan added that on the instruction of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the issue of temporary accommodation for these residents is resolved. "The people will have a place to stay. God willing, we will be able to save the third person," the minister noted.

He added that they believe the explosion had occurred at the second floor of this four-story building.
