YEREVAN. – At Tuesday’s session of the Yerevan Council of the Elders, Sergey Nersesyan was elected Deputy Mayor—with 47 votes in favor and one abstention.
Nersesyan said that he will try to resolve all the problems of the Armenian capital city together with the team, and show that there are no irresolvable problems. "Any problem will be resolved if we work as a team," he noted, in particular.
Sergey Nersesyan is the assistant of Yerjanik Hakobyan, a member of the majority My Step faction of parliament, and is 29 years old.
On July 14, it became known that now former deputy mayor of Yerevan Hayk Sargsyan will end his term of office in this capacity and work in the private sector.
