The unit in charge of civil forfeiture of illegal assets has already been established, meaning the law is fully in effect, and this means the special unit of the Prosecutor General’s Office can launch relevant studies with the relevant grounds established by law. This is what Minister of Justice of Armenia Rustam Badasyan told reporters today.

“However, I am of the opinion that the studies are so extensive that it would be wrong to expect lawsuits filed to court before the first quarter of 2021. In this stage, the activities of the Prosecutor General’s Office will not be visible for the public. The work will be seen during the year 2021. As for the volume, the Prosecutor General’s Office will publish or issue a statement,” the minister said.
