YEREVAN. – A group of citizens are protesting near the side entrance of the National Assembly of Armenia, and they are demanding that the MPs join them and demand the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

"We are against that treacherous document," they say with respect to the trilateral statement signed with respect to ending the recent Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) war, adding that they support the notion of "new negotiator, new conditions."

"After bringing the fate of the two countries [Armenia and Artsakh] to this state, the incumbent prime minister of the country must leave; and not only him, but the entire government," said one of the aforementioned protesters.

On November 9, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a joint statement on a complete cessation of hostilities in and around Artsakh. Accordingly, Russian peacekeepers will be deployed in the region to monitor the implementation of the ceasefire and the cessation of hostilities. But this statement also stipulates the handover of part of Artsakh lands to Azerbaijan.
