YEREVAN. – A criminal case has been filed at the Tavush provincial investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia—and in connection with a fatal road accident near Lake Gosh, the committee informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

According to preliminary data, on February 12, a car went off road at the aforementioned place and rolled down into a gorge. The 31-year-old driver died on the spot, and the female passenger sustained injuries and was taken to a medical center. The investigation into this accident continues.

The Tavush provincial investigation department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia is also investigating a fatal car accident on the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan motorway, in connection with which a criminal case has been filed.

According to preliminary data, on February 12, a vehicle went off road at the aforesaid motorway and fell into a gorge. The 69-year-old driver and one of the passengers died on the spot, while the other passengers suffered injuries and were hospitalized. The investigation into this accident is also in progress.
