The parents of a Vagharshapat (Etchmiadzin) military unit servicemen, who went missing during the 44-day war in 2020, kept the Proshyan Street-Marshall Baghramyan Avenue intersection in Yerevan closed for about an hour.

The police tried to negotiate with these parents so that they reopen the intersection, in exchange promising to determine the date and time of a meeting with Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan.

Pashinyan's staff promised to hold a meeting with these parents within a week, after which they reopened the aforesaid major intersection and announced that if this promise is not kept, they will take more serious steps.

"If they don't accept us [at the PM’s office] within a week, we won't make any more compromises, we will close the road and we won't open it either," said a parent of one of the aforesaid missing soldiers.
