There was an agreement with the US that an inspection team shall come to Armenia and carry out border monitoring in the coming weeks. Why is it delayed? This question was asked by reporters in the National Assembly of Armenia Monday to deputy foreign minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan.
“It is in progress. The coming weeks are still ongoing. There has been a change in the entire [US] administration. These agreements are ongoing. But in terms of time frames, take into account that the entire [US] administration has changed,” responded Hovhannisyan.
And to the remark that perhaps there is no agreement with Iran on this matter, the Armenian deputy FM responded: “We are discussing this matter with Iran, there is agreement on all matters, and the process is going on its way.”
