YEREVAN. – An excavator appeared Saturday at the courtyard around several buildings, in Armenian capital Yerevan’s Nalbandyan Street, where the next “elite” building is being constructed; and the excavator began digging out the earth, the local residents informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.    

But as soon as the heavy machinery started its activities, the residents blocked its path and not allowed it to dig out the earth.

The residents also inform that these activities are intensively carried out on the weekends because the pertinent agencies do not work on the weekends, and it is impossible to call for any assistance.

To note, these construction activities are being carried out in the area of a former kindergarten, and they endanger ancient trees and green space.
