If you mean Russia or Turkey being a participant in the TRIPP business project, there is no such discussion. Ruben Rubinyan, deputy speaker of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia and the country’s special representative for the normalization process with Turkey, told this to reporters Monday at the NA.

“You have also seen the document published the other day on the principles by which the TRIPP company will be established. Let me remind that it is an Armenian-American company, not an Armenian-American and any other country, and in this regard, the participation of another country is not planned. But if we are talking about benefiting from the broader TRIPP project, of course, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Iran, Russia, Central Asian countries, European countries, and so on will benefit. As a result of the launch and lifting of the blockade, for example, Armenia will receive a railway connection with Iran, with Russia, Russia with Turkey, and so on,” Rubinyan added.

And regarding the remark that former Armenia’s Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian claims that this is actually a corridor from which only Azerbaijan and Turkey will benefit, and that Armenia should have received at least a 51 percent share in that company, and a 26 percent share is a shilling thrown to Armenia, Rubinyan said: “Any person who knows how to read can read the published document, and it is a document stating that there will be no corridor. (...). This document clearly states in black and white [that] security is maintained by the relevant bodies of Armenia, it is written in black and white that there will be appropriate passport and customs procedures, it is written in black and white that Armenian border guards and representatives of other relevant departments will be physically present at the relevant passport and customs points, and it is written a thousand times that everything will take place within the framework of Armenia’s territorial integrity, sovereignty, and jurisdiction. Especially for the skeptical, it is written that sovereign functions will not be delegated. Therefore, it is impossible to see a ‘corridor’ here.”
