YEREVAN. – Armenia is not such a large country to permit itself to cause enmity amongst the people after each election. The country’s President and the ruling coalition’s senior member, the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Chairman Serzh Sargsyan stated this during a meeting with cultural figures in the capital Yerevan.       

“The majority is obligated to show consideration toward the political minorities,” the President said.   

He added that the RPA is well aware of Armenia’s shortcomings and does not refrain from speaking about them. “We will continue to secure justice for each and every one,” Serzh Sargsyan noted.    

“We will change Armenia toward the Armenia of our dreams. The [upcoming parliamentary] elections are extremely important. In which way and speed Armenia will move forward will depend on them,” he added.  

Also, Serzh Sargsyan asked those present to do everything so that the forthcoming elections are held well.

“This is my wish as President of the Republic and citizen of the country. And as Chairman of the Republican Party, I certainly wish for the Republican to receive the maximum result in these elections,” he concluded.
