YEREVAN. – Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian received on Monday Lithuanian Minister of National Defense Rasa Juknevičienė.

“Armenian-Lithuanian cooperation got a new impetus in the recent years, which was marked with the visit of the Lithuanian President to Armenia last year and agreements achieved between the presidents of both states,” Nalbandian said adding the cooperation was significantly developed in the sphere of political dialogue, inter-governmental relations and cultural exchanges.

Establishment of the Armenian Embassy in Vilnius played its role as well. 

Lithuanian Minister of Defense thanked for warm reception and stated that she estimates high multisided cooperation with Armenia, while relations between defense agencies of both states make an important part of it.

The sides discussed ways of reinforcing bilateral relations and issues on international agenda. Nalbandian also presented issues of the South Caucasus region as requested by the guest and Armenia’s approaches towards their settlement.
