STEPANAKERT. – Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) President Bako Sahakyan on Tuesday signed a decree on bestowing awards.

According to the decree, Lieutenant Colonel Arthur Avanesyan, Major Gagik Israelyan, and Major Gegham Manukyan were awarded the “Courage” medal while warrant officer Gagik Alahverdyan, Lieutenant Colonel Armen Barkhudaryan, Private Ashot Hambardzumyan, and warrant officer Hovik Hayrapetyan were awarded the “Service in Battle” medal for averting the adversary’s violations against the military positions of the NKR Defense Army and conducting an appropriate retaliation, Office of the NKR President informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
