YEREVAN. – This is the second consecutive year that Armenian capital city Yerevan’s Municipality, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, is organizing an agricultural product fair on the weekends.

And Mayor Taron Margaryan, along with Agriculture Minister Sergo Karapetyan, toured this market on Saturday.

To note, the Municipality has allocated the market space free of charge and also provided the pavilions, tents, scales, and carts.

Responding to news reporters’ questions, Margaryan noted that activities are underway toward increasing the number of these markets in Yerevan.

“Soon, we will have another such market in the Central Administrative Region. Also, a constant surveillance will be conducted at the market,” stressed the Mayor, and added that thus the villagers are given the chance to sell their products without the middlemen.

Also, Taron Margaryan made a brief tour to the park nearby the market.
