The Council of Europe (CoE) will announce, on July 12 in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan, the starting of a three-year action plan as assistance to Armenia’s ongoing reforms in the domains of human rights, rule of law, and democracy.

Implementation of the new plan will be worth 15 million euros, the CoE Office informs.

Armenia’s FM Edward Nalbandian will deliver opening remarks at the inaugural conference devoted to the launching of this plan while Director General for Projects and CoE’s newly-elect Deputy Secretary General Gabriella Battaini-Dragoni will present the action plan.

To note, Armenia is a CoE member since 2001, and it will chair the organization’s Ministers’ Committee from May to November 2013.
