YEREVAN. – President Serzh Sargsyan on Tuesday was on hand at the official opening of the Justice Academy of Armenia.  

Following the opening ceremony, the President toured the newly constructed building of the academy.

Justice Academy of Armenia was founded by the Government decision. The Republic of Armenia is the founder of the academy, and the Ministry of Justice is the authorized state agency that acts on behalf of the founder. 

The academy’s objectives are the expansion of the professional knowledge of the persons who are on the list of candidates for judges and prosecutors; the improvement of the professional knowledge of the serving judicial professionals; and the implementation of joint judicial education programs.    

The challenge of the Justice Academy of Armenia is the implementation of a qualitatively new approach toward the preparation and training of judges and prosecutors.
