YEREVAN. – The Orinats Yerkir (Rule of Law) Party (RLP) left the coalition government because party chairman Arthur Baghdasaryan was not appointed Prime Minister, Politologists’ Union of Armenia Chairman Hmayak Hovhannisyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The RLP’s leaving the coalition may have several reasons. In reality, however, they left because their own ambitions were not satisfied.

“It solely had six MPs yet three ministers in the government. Saying that they deserved more after all this, is unjustified ambitions,” Hovhannisyan noted, in particular.

To the query as to whether the four non-ruling-coalition parliamentary factions (Armenian National Congress, Prosperous Armenia, ARF Dashnaktsutyun, and Heritage) will accept RLP to their ranks, the political scientist stressed:

“It’s just unlikely. It’s impossible to enter the same water twice. Armenians have a very good recollection.”

The RLP MPs on Wednesday announced that their party will be parting ways with the coalition government.
