YEREVAN. – Armenian banks may limit exchange of currency and other services, chairman of the Central Bank of Armenia said.

Artur Javadyan noted that banks have the right to serve only their clients, although, the bank itself is interested in expanding the scope of services.

But, if for some reason, someone decides to be limited only by servicing of their customers, it is impossible to stop him, Javadyan emphasized.

However, if currency exchange offices refuse to serve their clients, although they have enough cash on hand, they are subject to sanctions,Javadyan assured.

On November 24 US dollar rate soared and the Armenian dram lost value by three times.
