YEREVAN. - I’m aware of those arrests, the lead singer of the legendary rock-group System of a Down Serj Tankian told Armenian News – NEWS.am Saturday, referring to the detentions of Founding Parliament members.

Responding to the question on whether he is aware of the fact that in the run-up to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide roughly ten people have become political prisoners, Tankian said: “I’m aware of these arrests and actually my opinion shouldn’t differ from yours in that respect. A person should not be arrested for his words and viewpoints, if there is no other reason.”
