YEREVAN. –Former MP, opposition Prosperous Armenia Party member Gohar Yenokyan was arrested on Monday, and along the lines of a criminal case.

During the preliminary investigation into this case, factual data were obtained that Yenokyan had carried out plans for a murder. As a result, it was decided to include Yenokyan into the aforementioned criminal case as a defendant.

But taking into account Yenokyan’s advanced age, it is decided to commute her restraining order and release her on a signature bond.

As reported earlier, a group of National Assembly members on Tuesday submitted a petition to the Prosecutor General, and with a request that Gohar Yenokyan be released from detention due to her advanced age and poor health, as she suffers from hypertension.
