YEREVAN. – The Foreign Minister of Armenia, Edward Nalbandian, on Saturday met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Haiti, Lener Renauld.

The Armenian FM characterized the tour of the Haitian music band, which is presenting Haiti’s culture in Yerevan along the lines of the OIF Ministerial Conference, as symbolic.

Renauld, for his part, thanked for the high-level of organization of the OIF Ministerial Conference and the warm reception, and noted that he is glad to be in Armenia and discuss the ways for the establishment of bilateral cooperation.

At the ensuing talk, the two FMs explored the possibilities for the formation of a legal framework between Armenia and Haiti, and establishment of their collaboration within international organizations.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Haiti also expressed his gratitude to Armenia and the Armenian rescue team, which had expressed readiness to lend a hand of support to Haitian people, who suffered as a result of the destructive and tragic earthquake in 2010.
