YEREVAN. – The investigation, which is conducted at the scene of Monday night’s bus explosion on Halabyan street in Armenia’s capital city of Yerevan, has ended.

The said bus has been removed from the scene, and one-way traffic has been restored along the street, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the scene. 

The water trucks are cleaning the street, and traffic will be fully restored shortly thereafter.

The blast had occurred in a public transport bus.

The explosion was so powerful that it was heard from several kilometers, and windows were broken in nearby buildings.

There are two casualties. One of them has been identified, and work is underway ascertain the identity of the other victim.  

As of Tuesday 4:20am, there are eight injured, they are Armenian citizens, and they have been hospitalized.

A criminal case has opened into this incident.
