Armenian PM Hovik Abrahamyan received Indian Ambassador to Armenia Suresh Babu Thursday on occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country.

The PM thanked Suresh Babu for the latter’s great contribution to the enhancement of Armenian-Indian friendly ties during his mission, wising him good luck in his future activity. Abrahamyan noted that the political ties of both states are characterized by high-level mutual understanding and confidence, and it is thus necessary to continue the active work towards bringing the economic cooperation to this level as well.

For his part, the Indian Ambassador to Armenia thanked for the productive cooperation, noting that during his mission he exerted maximum efforts towards strengthening the bilateral friendly ties. Suresh Babu also noted that it was a great honor for him to work in Armenia, and as a friend of Armenia he will continue to contribute to the improvement of mutual relations between the two countries.

Apart from this, the sides summed up the implementation process and results of the joint Armenian-Indian programs in the areas of IP, agriculture, culture and health. They also exchanged views on expanding bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

Besides, both sides attached importance to the steps taken towards the continuous invigoration of economic ties, specifically touching on the active work of the Armenian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission and organization of regular business conferences.
