Kiev court granted the motion of the Prosecutor’s Office to arrest the Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoygu, reports the UNIAN, referring to the court’s resolution made on August 26  .

According to the Ukrainian Novosti, Shoygu is suspected of committing crimes under a number of  articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - in particular, under paragraph 3 of Article 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity of Ukraine), Article 258-3 part 1 (creation of a terrorist organization), paragraph 3 of Article 258-5 (financing of terrorism), paragraph 1 of Article 437 (planning, preparing, and unleashing an aggressive war).

The whereabouts of the suspect are unknown, therefore, since August 22 he has been declared as wanted.
