YEREVAN. – An unusual incident occurred Tuesday in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia.

The resident of a building called the police saying that he will blow up this 9-story building.

The Police and Ministry of Emergency Situations officers, who were dispatched to the scene, evacuated the residents of this building.

But, later, it turned out that the call was fake.

According to preliminary information, the caller, Emil Petrosyan, 39,  who lives in the town of Abovyan, had actually wished to assemble the proper authorities at the said building, and to submit a complaint. 

Petrosyan said he is divorced, and he complained that his ex-wife does not permit him to see his young child.

Police informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that an investigation is underway regarding this incident.
