The chief prosecutor has asked for a 230-year prison sentence for Kurdish co-mayor of Turkey’s Diyarbakır, Gültan Kışanak, who was arrested on October 25.
The court has accepted the attorney general’s indictment against Kışanak, reported Cumhuriyet daily of Turkey.
Accordingly, she is charged with “creating and heading and armed organization,” “participating in unlawful rallies and marches,” and carrying out “propaganda for a terrorist organization.”
