YEREVAN. - A discussion and consultation on issues related to solid household waste took place in the Nature Protection Ministry of Armenia on Tuesday, the Ministry press-service informed Armenian News – NEWS.am.

The discussion, which was presided by Minister Artsvik Minasyan, was attended by persons in charge of relevant subdivisions of the ministries of Nature Protection and Territorial Administration.

The key issues of the discussion included those related to setting up the nature protection rates and management of solid waste.

Reference was also made to the need for regulating the sorting of the household waste and its efficient organization. In this context, the participants also discussed the cooperation between the public and private sector. As a result of the discussion, the role of legislative cooperation and studying of international practice, as well as its efficient application was underscored.
