At least 19 buildings were demolished in ten seconds in Hankou, Hubei province, China on January 21, at 11:50, The South Chinа Morning Post reported.

According to the newspaper, simultaneous demolition was carried out with the help of five tons of explosives spread around 120,000 locations in the buildings and the timing of each detonation was set to within a few microseconds.

Several multistoried buildings were demolished as a result of the explosions. These demolitions are making way for a huge new business district, including a 707-metre tall skyscraper.
