A brutal murder took place Sunday in Armenia.

Police received a call at around 5։30pm, according to which there was a car in a pile of snow in the administrative area of Tlik village in Aragatsotn Province, on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway, and the dead body of a man, nearby the vehicle.

The police officers and investigators that arrived at the scene found the dead body of a man near the car, and whose neck was cut, according to Shamshyan.com.

According to preliminary autopsy findings, the man had died as a result of several stabbings.

The victim was capital city Yerevan resident Karlen Grigoryan, 20, who was operating the said car as a taxi.

Several hours later, Gyumri resident Vahan H., 25, who temporarily resides in Yerevan, was detained by the police, and upon suspicion of committing this murder.

According to preliminary information, the suspect had gotten into the said taxi in Yerevan and ordered to head for Gyumri. In the aforesaid area, however, the passenger cut the young man’s neck with several stabs. Subsequently, he moved the dead body to the back of the vehicle, and attempted to flee the murder scene with this car; but the latter had gotten stuck in snow.

Vahan H is arrested.
