YEREVAN. – Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandian, and  Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, Angelino Alfano, have exchanged messages on the 25th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

In his message, Nalbandian noted that relations between Armenia and Italy have developed steadily over the course of this quarter-century, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am. He added that the bilateral agenda of the two countries comprises high-level political dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation. Nalbandian also stated that Armenia attaches great importance to its strong friendly relations with Italy.

In his respective message, Alfano stated that the historical Armenian-Italian ties are active since the 18th century. He stressed that Italy and Armenia have managed to build more vigorous and productive relations in the last quarter-century. The Italian FM noted that they continue to assist in the intensification of Armenia- EU relations. Also, he expressed confidence that Italian-Armenian bilateral relations will become stronger and most positive.
