At least two security officers and five militants were killed in a crossfire between the rebels and the security forces in the north-western province of Pakistan, Orakzai, reports Xinhua.

The exchange of fire occurred, when the security forces were conducting an operation to detect the fighters in Orakzai. They killed five militants during the operation who were affiliated with the banned organizations. Among the militants, they killed the commander, who was sent to Afghanistan, with an instruction to attack on the religious congregations.
