YEREVAN. – The Labor Code of Armenia needs a major reform, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan said at Thursday’s Cabinet session of the government.

In his words, the need for this reform stems from the wish to improve labor conditions and worker’s rights.

Karapetyan instructed Labor and Social Affairs Minister Artem Asatryan to submit the edited new text of the Labor Code, within nine months.

“Adoption of the already developed plans needs to be accelerated,” added the PM.
