On the First Republic Day marked on Sunday, President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan along with Catholicos Karekin II, Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan, Speaker of the National Assembly (NA) Ara Babloyan and other high-ranking officials laid flowers at Sardarapat Memorial Complex in memory of those who fell in 1918 (PHOTOS).

President Sargsyan made an address, following which a prayer was offered by the Catholicos.  

At the moment, armed forces exposition is being held there.
