Within the framework of the events on the May victory anniversaries in Armenia, Artik town penitentiary inmate Artur Karapetyan conducted a record-breaking exercise with dumbbells weighing 6kgs. 

Karapetyan lifted these dumbbells with both hands, separately, 12,782 times in 2 hours and 32 minutes.

He was awarded certificates and a trophy for his achievement.  

The respective material will be sent to the “Dyutsaznagirk [Book of Heroes]” Association of Heroes NGO, to register this record, the department of public relations of the committee of penitentiaries informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
