YEREVAN. - All the three presidents of Armenia infringed on the interests of the country in favor of Russia.

Deputy of Yelk (Way Out) Bloc, Aram Sargsyan, told the aforementioned in the Armenian parliament on Wednesday, speaking at the discussion of the 2017-2022 Government program.

In his words, first president of Armenia Levon Ter-Petrosyan, who agreed to station a Russian military base in the republic, not only refused to take money for the rent but also agreed that Armenia should pay for its maintenance (During the heated conflict of 2008, Sargsyan actively supported Levon Ter-Petrosyan).

“The second president, Robert Kocharyan, transferred to Russia several national assets in exchange for debts. Armenia fulfilled its treaty obligations but Russia, which also did have obligations, failed to fulfill them. The third president, Serzh Sargsyan, agreed on an agreement with Gazprom, pursuant to which the republic is obliged not to sign agreements in the gas sector until 2043, this prejudicing the interests of the company (instead the republic receives gas at inter-Russian prices). We may then part with such new necessary projects as the new gas pipe from Iran, HPP on Araks river and other alternatives to our energy and economy,” the pro-western MP said.
